GuitarfishRhinobatos cemiculus

Blackchin guitarfish are quite astonishing cartilaginous fish!
They share similarities with ray fish (ventral gill slits) and sharks (propels itself with its caudal fin)!
They can be found on the sandy bottoms searching for fish, crustaceans and molluscs. They are harmless fish and can easily be approached by divers.
The common guitarfish is found in the western Mediterranean.
