Tasselled wobblegongEucrossorhinus dasypogon

This shark lives at the bottom of the ocean in the tropical waters surrounding the North of Australia.
The symmetrical patterns that cover its sandy coloured body give it almost perfect camouflage ! The little fleshy beard around its mouth attracts fish, crustaceans and cephalopods that form its principal prey.
The tasselled wobblegong can reach 2 metres in length but is of little trading value.
IUCN status: vulnerable
